ESRI Map book : Geography - creating communities
Geographic Information System (GIS) users have demonstrated boundless creativity in implementing ESRI's software programs, and this energy is reflected in each edition of the ESRI Map Book. Initially acknowledged as an important tool for integrating and analyzing spatial information, GIS emerged as a powerrful technology for coordinating the work of an organization around a common, shared geographic database. The architecture of GIS for the future is focusing on creating a global framework that integrates the physical, social, biological, and environmental aspects of lif. The ESRI Map Book acknowledge just a small portion of the terrific work coming from GIS professionals.
