Studi-studi Kasus Natural Resource Accounting
Indonesia has an area about 15.5 million hectares of karst ecosystems in areas such as Central Java, Eastern Java, South Sulawesi and Irian Jaya. The objective of this study is to assess the total economic value of the karst area in the Bantimurung Park, Karaenta Nature Preserva and the Pattunuang Cave Nature area around Maros of South Sulawesi. Although there were other economic values associated with park preservation not measured, this study provided an estimation of the economic value of the karst area in use by the communities surrounding the park areas and visitors who come to the area to enjoy the "classic tropical karst ecosystem".
