BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025
The Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) was established in 1994 to improve economic and social development in less developed and remote areas. The initiative involves four countries: Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It encourages cooperation between the public and private sectors, with the private sector supporting economic growth. BIMP-EAGA covers selected regions in Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as well as all of Brunei Darussalam. Despite facing challenges, the initiative has achieved important progress. It continues to promote regional cooperation, support development priorities, and strengthen ASEAN regional integration through shared goals and activities.
