Baseline Estimates of RPOA-IUU Participating Countries (Afriansyah, Solihin, Bilqis, 2021)

This book talk about baseline estimates of country that participate in RPOA-IUU. The Arafura and Timor Seas (ATS) region is a semi-enclosed sea, surrounded by Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste. The Regional Plan of Action to Promote Responsible Fishing Practices, including Combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (RPOA-IUU), in which the four countries are participating members, serves as a forum through which these nations can work collaboratively to manage the ATS. This study offers a unique approach to quantifying law enforcement capabilities, by calculating losses avoided through the apprehension of both domestic and foreign vessels.
