Guidelines for Emergency Preparedness and Contingency Plan on Shrimp Diseases in Indonesia

As one of the important documentation outputs of the FAO Project TCP/INS/3402 "Development of Preventive Aquatic Animal Health Protection Plan Enhancing Emergency Response Capacities to Shrimp Disease Outbreaks in Indonesia", these Guidelines for Emergency Preparedness and Contingency Plan on Shrimp Diseases in Indonesia were developed jointly by representatives of the Indonesia Government, the private sector and international experts with the aim of improving Indonesia's national aquatic animal health status by minimizing the risks posed by certain pathogens, reducing the number of disease outbreaks and subsequently, declaring freedom from disease in certain shrimp farms, compartments or zones.
