This paper discusses the profile and potential of marine and fisheries of Jambi Province. Jambi Province is an area that has great potential of marine and fisheries. Therefore, it is necessary to create marine and fisheries porphyry in order to fulfill the evolving needs of information in the framework of decision making and policy development at regional and central level, which then can have implication to the improvement of regional human resources quality and development management of data and information management in area can done better.
