The primary objective of the Indo-Pasific Tuna Development and Management Programme (IPTP) is to develop and maintain an information centre for tuna and tuna-like species in the region. IPTP collects the following types of data: 1. ANnual nominal catch by species and gear, 2. Annual fishing craft statistics by gear, type and size class of boats, 3. Catch and effort statistics by species, gear, fishing ground and month, and 5. Transhipment statistics.
