Coastal Engineering is the subject of one of the projects under EPAM, the Extended Programme Applied Mathematics, a scientific cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands running from (1999) 2000 until 2005. Rather than having all contributions in random order, the Scientific Committe decided to range them from the level of needs, goals, and policy, through analysis and decision support tools, to the study of model properties and numerical algorithms.
