This publication contained 2 section, which is: Section 1 (The UNU-Fisheries Training Programme) the programme is meant to contribute to institutional capacity building in fisheries in developing countries where fisheries play an important role in the economy or the livelihood of the people. Section 2 (The Sustainable Fisheries Symposium) the reason for the symposium is the increasing globalization of fishing and trade with fish and fish products.
