Our Changing Nature: Natural Resource Trends in Washington State
Washington's population could double by the middle of the 21st century, adding the equivalent of 29 cities the size of Tacoma or Spokane. That's twice as many people who will need places to live, play and work. With twice as many people, another challenge will be how to minimize our damage to the environment and how to protect the remaining forests, fish, wildlife and grasslands.
