Pt. AMAL aims at assisting poor rural communities to overcome their problem-specially those communities that have fallen victim of the 1989-1998 military operations (DOM) in the Bandar Dua Sub District in Pidie District, DI ACEH by creating conditions conductive to the development of the abundant swallow land in the area at the benefit of small farmers. In the evening of 11 December 1999, a group of men equipped with several guns and jerrican of petrol entered the PT. AMAL compound at 21.47 p.m, destroyed the entry gate and part of fences, looted all machines, tools, stocks and private possessions, and burned down the buildings within the premises.
