National Plan of Action Conservation of Dugong And Its Habitat (Seagrass) in Indonesia (Period 1: 2018-2022)
Dugong is one of the threatened and endangered species that widely sprad across a number of regions in Indonesia for example Alor-East Nusa Tenggara. Threats to Dugong populations are partly due to their low reproduction cycles as well as the deterioration of foraging area (feeding ground) , nurturing area (nursery grounds) and reproduction area (spawning ground). In addition, the uniqueness of this species have also triggered poaching and hunting, and thus lead to the increasing threat of wild population.
