Abstract/Notes High mortalities of shrimp pond cultured due to virus infection by white spot syndrome virus (WSSV), often resulting the production of shrimp decreased seriously. To find the high quality of shrimp fries with resistance on virus diseases are needed to evaluate genetic selection on spawners were used for shrimp seed production. This is will be useful to improve the genetic quality management in hatchery that obtained individual selection by using genetic marker. The aims of this experiment were selected and ana lysed of genetic variation of shrimps spawners and fry after infected by WSSV. Allozyme electrophoretic and mt-DNA methods were applied to analys genetic variation. The result showed polymorphism loci of black tiger shrimps expressed on Pgm*, Gpi* and Idh* were decreased on larvae which were infected by WSSV virus i.e. 0.056 on tHe healthy fry and 0.022 on infected moribund fry. mt-DNA analyses showed that Mbo I enzyme restriction can be used as gene marker for WSSV resistance on black tiger shrimp.
