| Abstract/Notes | Study on the larval rearing of humpback grouper, tiger grouper and greasy grouper have been conducted at Gondol Research Institute for Marine culture This experiment was to know the survival rate of marble grouper in mass culture. This experiment was conducted in 5 ton cement tank. One blue color tank with plastic sheet as cover and the other tank with yellow color without plastic sheet cover and lamp. The density of eggs were 10 and 20 ind.lL. Larval were fed with rotifer SS and S type, copepod, artemia and artificial diets. Initial feeding at 3 days after hatching, rotifer SS type and copepoda was given. Followed by rotifer S type and copepoda after 5 days. Artificial diets was started at 15 days old, artemia naupli was started at 17 days old. Result of the experiment showed that at 30 days old larvae, range of total length 8.4-15.3 mm in the yellow tank and 9.5-18.57 mm in the blue tank. Survival rate were 0.72% and 1.4%. |
