Abstract/Notes | Nannochloropsis oculata is widely used as a food in mass culture of rotifer and initial food in larvae rearing. The objective of this study is to find out optimum technique for mass culture of N. oculata. This result showed that period of the rainy season, growth of all experimental group were observed increase the order of GRIM + Clewat 32, JASFA, and GRIM. Cell density of N. oculata in rainy season is higher than dry season. Whereas growth of cell N. oculata in dry season were show a same trend excepted GRIM standard. Substitution of urea (NH2)2CO with KNO3 at media GRIM Clewat could be applied on June-August to find a constant cell density. It is thought that the water temperature and the insulation condition are difference points of the environmental condition at the rainy season and the dry season, and a seasonal environmental agent influences the growth of N. oculata.
