The sanctioning of Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press is essential since the Law shall govern the Press, which include, the printed media, electronic media and other media, to function maximally as mandated in Article 28 of the 1945 Constitution. The publication of this book is meant as an endeavor to widely disseminate the substance of this Law and at the same time to meeting the expectations of the people at large to get a concise and informative clarification concerning the Law.
