An Introduction to Types of Indonesian Sharks

The diversity of sharks species in Indonesian waters is quite high. About 117 species of sharks including into 25 familia found in the territorial waters of Indonesia. However, the current conditions indicate that almost the entire economically valuable species of sharks are exposed to the threat of scarcity. Therefore, the management of these biota are required to ensure the sustainability of the resources of the aquatic biota. This book is expected to be used as a reference for data collection in the field, as a first step in order to achieve sustainable fisheries management.
